Research & Baseline Studies

Field research and household survey

Robust evidence is the foundation of every effective intervention. Our research team designs and executes comprehensive baseline, midline, and endline studies using mixed-method approaches — combining household surveys, key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and secondary data analysis. We have conducted research for USAID, UNHCR, World Bank, IFAD, and numerous government departments, covering beneficiary populations across Sindh, Punjab, KPK, and Balochistan.

Impact Assessments

Impact assessment data review

We measure what matters. Our impact assessment methodology is designed to attribute change to program interventions through rigorous counterfactual analysis, theory of change validation, and participatory evaluation tools. Our impact work has informed major programming decisions for international donors, government ministries, and NGOs — covering sectors from renewable energy to livelihoods, sanitation, and social protection.

Feasibility Studies

Feasibility study for solar infrastructure

Before committing resources, organizations need to know what works, what costs, and what risks lie ahead. Our feasibility studies integrate technical, financial, social, and environmental dimensions into a clear, decision-ready package. We have conducted feasibility assessments for solar energy projects, agribusiness enterprises, municipal infrastructure, and digital platforms — providing clients with the confidence to invest and the roadmap to succeed.

Monitoring & Evaluation

Monitoring and evaluation field visit

SMART Researchers designs and implements M&E systems that are practical, data-driven, and aligned to donor requirements. We develop results frameworks, logical frameworks, MEAL plans, and indicator tracking systems that enable real-time course correction and evidence-based reporting.

✦ Signature outcome

Our M&E work has supported over 50 public infrastructure, social protection, and agribusiness programs — with beneficiary reach exceeding 5,000 individuals across our social safeguard reviews alone.
